history
Founded by Joseph Lee in 1973, Leeka Group is a family-owned and operated business. Based in the capital of Sabah, Malaysia, the company started as a stone quarrying business serving Sabah’s construction and development sector.
In the years that followed, as Sabah entered the ‘Golden Age’, Joseph seized the emerging opportunities and expanded the Leeka business. Under his sense of astute business acumen, the company prospered in property development and investment, construction, civil and structural engineering projects, concrete product manufacturing, palm oil plantations, transportation, and hospitality businesses. But the company did not stop growing there.
present
The strength in knowledge and the success in Malaysia allowed Leeka Group to venture internationally. In 2013, Leeka Group established its Australian headquarters in Melbourne, specialising in property development and investment.
Making its mark in a short period, Leeka became a preeminent developer in the property industry. To date, Leeka has accomplished numerous projects built across Metropolitan Melbourne, including residential, commercial and industrial properties.
In the spirit of innovation and risk-taking, Leeka takes the business to the next level by branching into Melbourne’s hospitality industry. Making a statement in the culinary capital of Australia, Leeka launches two new dining concepts and an international brand. Currently, Leeka’s hospitality venues are based in Melbourne CBD and Glen Waverley but are growing with more brands and dining concepts in the forward pipeline.
future
Through the years, Leeka Group has accumulated a diverse portfolio in business through investment properties and hospitality venues in Victoria. In pursuit of cultivating Leeka in Australia, the company has the vision to elevate the standard of innovation within respective industries and expand across Australia as a whole.
